"MAMMY, I DON'T WANT TO DIE.......", these were the harrowing words of little Jake Brennan (6) to his Mother before he passed away in June 2014 after being tragically knocked down.
Jake's mother Rosanne spoke to Eamon this morning about the moment her son tragically died after a car hit him at 50km per hour in a built-up housing estate.
"Jake wandered down the path and my attention was brought to the noise of this car and you knew something was going to happen and there was nothing you could do.
"I heard the loudest bang and it sent me right back in the doorway and I saw baby go up into the air and I knew, I closed my eyes saying this isn't happening."
After the incident Rosanne setup Jake's legacy which campaigns for lower speed limits in housing estates across Ireland.
Jake's Mother has now launched a book documenting the lead up to the incident and the aftermath, which will be launched on the night of 17th April 2018.
The Book tilted "Mammy I don't want to die...... is available from online and all major bookstores.
