A young couple who had their wedding postponed in March due to storm Emma may now be forced to marry through a civil ceramony and not in a church.

The couple who also have family travelling from abroad had to reschedule to the only weekend date available in early June, which falls on a Sunday.

Once the couple were happy that the venue could accomodate this new date, they contacted the priest to ask if they could be married on Sunday, to which the priest replied that it would be in the hands of the Bishop of Waterford.

Unfortunatley for the couple the bishop was not as accomodating as the venue and refused to offer a concesion, due to the Priests of the Diocese voting not to have weddings on Sundays.
