Richard O' Leary was discovered lying on the footpath of T.F. Meagher Street in Dungarvan at around 1 o’clock on Sunday morning.
He was attended to by paramedics on site and is currently receiving treatment at Cork University Hospital.
His sister Tina spoke to Eamon this morning, discussing her brother movements on Sunday evening before being found with serious head injuries.
According to his sister, Richard now has damage to his brain that cannot be fixed.
