1. Calls for Beacon Hospital CEO to resign

The private hospital in Dublin gave “leftover vaccines” to 20 teachers and staff from St Gerard’s Catholic School in Bray. It's reported that the children of the CEO of the Beacon attend the fee-paying school. There have now been calls for his resignation. While CEO of the HSE Paul Reid said it was extremely annoying and frustrating when incidents like this happen.

2. New Cath Lab contract is "big step forward"

That's according to Willie Doyle of the ’24/7 Cardiac Campaign’ group who says that all along, the HSE’s position is that we can’t have 24/7 services here without a second Catherisation Lab. “This would bring us in line with every other region in the country,” he told Maria McCann on Deise Today.

3. Tramore terrace refused planning permission

A terrace to the rear of One the Waterfront in Tramore has been refused planning permission. The bar and restaurant area which enjoys stunning views of the beach was constructed two years ago without the appropriate permission.

4. ‘Bag it and Bin it’ anti-dog fouling campaign launched in Waterford

A new campaign has been launched in Waterford to tackle the issue of dog fouling. The ‘Bag it and bin it’ initiative is a joint effort between a number of local authorities to try and encourage dog owners to clean up after their animals

5. Waterford FC looking for first win under Sheedy

Waterford FC host Sligo Rovers at the RSC this evening in their first home game of the new season. The Blues lost to Drogheda in the opening game. Meanwhile the club have completed the signings of two more players with Paul Martin and Eric Molloy putting pen to paper for the Blues.

6. Documentary on Waterford Archivist to air on TG4

The extraordinary life of Andrew Kelly, an archivist and a collector from Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford, will be told in a new An Corsaiceach documentary on TG4 this April. Over the past 50 years, Kelly has amassed a huge collection of valuable photographs and film. He spoke to Maria McCann on Deise Today - Listen back here.
