Who died on Sunday 24th November 2024

Peacefully, surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff at Pine Ward, University Hospital Waterford.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Nora, and brother Joe

Beloved husband of Mary (Boland), devoted Dad of daughter Ciara, sons Patrick and Ronan, brother of Mary and Michael, adoring  grandad to Liam, Rory, Finn, Roisin, Sean and Tadhg, sister Mary and brother Michael. Deeply regretted by his family, daughters-in-law Martina and Rose. Gay will be very sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Tom Hennessy's Funeral Home, 45A Johnstown, Waterford (X91 FW4A), on Tuesday November 26th from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

Requiem Mass in St. Mary's Church, Ballygunner, Waterford on Wednesday 27th November at 12.00 noon, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mass will be live streamed by following the link below on Wednesday

House Private at all times please.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the John Hills Medical Practice for their long-term care and support.

They would also like to extend their sincere thanks to the Alzheimer’s Society, Waterford Healing Arts, and ALONE for their friendship and invaluable support in recent years.
