So sorry to learn of Noel’s death. He was a very good friend to me prior to and since my arrival in Waterford in the early Seventies! He had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the music industry and the many different facets of recording. He loved the challenge of seeking out and being able to supply those unusual, hard to source, tapes, records, CDs etc for his customers. Noel also played a key role managing and promoting a number of Waterford-based showbands, notably Don Duggan and The Savoy. Condolences to Rita and family on their huge loss. RIP
Chris Barrett.

Sinnott's record shops were legendary together with Hymie, Patsy Ryan and later his daughter Jane there was always great craic, music knowledge but also wider support for the arts in waterford - Noel would always put his hand in his pocket to support local small initiatives. I can still smell the cigars when I think of him - he loved to see things music and arts happening in waterford - definitely one of the good guys in business in the town
