Dick (Richard) Power, Late of Foilakippeen, Dunmore East, Co Waterford, Dental Surgeon of Dolphin Dental Surgery Waterford.

Born 21st of february 1954, in Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

Passed away at home on 19th February 2024. After a long illness borne with great dignity, Dick left us peacefully.

Dick will be sadly missed by his loving children - “his three cheris” Brendan, Peter, Sophie and his wife Marie.

His grandchildren Umae and Lenny and their mothers Laurence and Lana. His sisters Ann, Della, Bernadette and Rosaleen and his brothers Billy, Frank and Joe.
He will be sadly missed by his nephews, nieces and brothers and sisters in law, his dedicated dental staff and his many loyal friends and family in Ireland and France.

The family deeply appreciates the kindness, love and support they have received over the years and through Dick’s illness.

They would like to thank the team in St James Hospital, his doctor and all the staff at the Parnell Clinic who were very supportive.

Dick was a loving, gentle, generous and caring soul and an advocate for peace.

His heart is in the mountains, his home is by the sea, and wherever those two shall meet you will find him there happily.

A celebration of Dick’s life with a spiritual ceremony will take place on (Thursday 22nd February), at his home (X91 VC42) gathering from 11.00am (open casket) ceremony will start from 12noon with family and close friends to chat, share stories and celebrate with music, followed by removal to Killea Church arriving for 3.30 pm for a blessing,  followed by burial in Killea cemetery at 4.00 pm.
