10,600 homes and businesses around County Waterford remain without power this morning.
Power was restored to 10,500 homes during the course of yesterday.
The ESB said 25 network technicians arrived from Dundalk to assist crews in Waterford on Tuesday and more staff are coming from Wales today.
The 10,600 homes without power are scattered throughout the county, and the border with south Kilkenny and south Tipperary.
John Morrisey, area manager for Waterford Clonmel area with ESB networks said they hope to get thousands more back on the grid today.
He said in Waterford city work is ongoing to restore supply to three major areas Griffith Place, Dunmore Road and the Gaelscoil in Ballygunner, and they will have power back to those areas today.
However, some of the bigger areas still without supply are Lismore, Cappoquin, Tallow, Clashmore, Kilmacthomas, Fews, Durrow and Dunhill.
