A mass vaccination clinic has been constructed at the WIT Arena in Waterford.
It has the capacity to vaccinate 40 people every 10 minutes once it's fully operational.
University Hospital Waterford is running the centre and hospital staff have been tasked with setting up the facility.
General Manager Grace Rothwell told WLR News the facility will operate from 8am to 8pm seven days a week and she hopes that "in as short a timeframe as possible the people of Waterford city and county are vaccinated".
Ms Rothwell says she's pushing for the facility to be open on the 22nd of March.
