Who died on Thursday 5th September 2024

Late of Nacanco, Waterford.

Formerly of Hoogezand, Sappemeer, Netherlands.

Predeceased by his parents Grietje and Albertus, brothers Albertus and Lammert, sister Jantje and Grietje.

John will be sadly missed by his loving wife Angela, his children Mary, Pat, Albertus and Helga, their partner Michael, Eileen, Stephanie and Dermott, grandchildren Lara, Abbie, Dawn and Keely, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Thompsons Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Friday (6th September) from 3 pm to 5:30 pm with vigil prayers and rosary at 5 pm.

Requiem Mass on Saturday in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygunner at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

John was a friend and co worker, who left a strong impression on me over many years. He told stories, enjoyed good conversations and card games on night shift. Did a great job as shift manager straight no nonsense , one of a kind. RIP
