The Dungarvan local electoral area still has the highest incidence rate of Covid-19 in Waterford however, there has been a 54% decrease in the number of cases recorded.
According to the HSE's Covid-19 data hub, 38 cases were recorded in the Dungarvan area which spans from Leamybrien to Knockanore from July 6th to 19th.
That's compared to the 83 cases that were recorded in the area in the two weeks prior.
The incidence rate in the Dungarvan area is now 185.4 cases per 100,000 people which is lower than the national rate of 245.8 cases.
Elsewhere in the county, Waterford City East had the next highest number of cases with 32 cases recorded there in the past two weeks bringing the incidence rate 139.2 cases per 100,000 of the population.
In the Portlaw-Kilmacthomas area 12 cases were recorded giving the area an incidence rate of 70.1, Waterford City South had 14 cases in the same period and an incidence rate of 62.3 cases, while 11 cases were recorded in the Tramore area bringing the incidence rate there to 49.2 cases per 100,000 people.
The Lismore area recorded the lowest number of cases with fewer than five cases recorded there in the past two weeks up until Monday.
