Seamus Power is leading the Barbasol Championship on the PGA Tour, if only for the moment.
The West Waterford got his second round underway from 7 under, which had him in a tie for second in Kentucky.
1.48pm
He began this afternoon on the back nine with Bo Hoag and Ben Martin, shooting an opening birdie on the 10th. A simple two shots to approach the hole, and a tidy 4 yard birdy to finish.
His second hold continued his improving form. His first shot put him in the first cut beyond the fairway, but his follow-up second left him with 108 yards to the hole. From there it went from good to better, his approach shot to the green left him with 19 inches to claim another below-par score.
Par Four 12th hole up next....
14.22pm
Mark Hubbard joins Seamus at the top. A birdie on the 15th - his first below-par score since the 12th - brings him to the top as he nears the end of his round.
14.32pm
Par on the 12th. Right-to-left fade landing on the left edge of the fairway. A good approach shot to find the green with 10-yards to the hole, second put attempt knocked in inches from the pin.
David Lingmerth of Sweden is now back at the top of the leaderboard also. His birdie on the fifth has him tied three ways with Seamus and Hubbard on 9 under.
14.40pm
The first shot for Seamus on the 13th leaves him at the edge of the fairway, just a hairs breath into the first cut on the left side.
Will Grimmer now joins Power, Hubbard, and Lingmerth at the top. Birdie on the second moving him to 9 under. Adam Schenk, Brian Stuard and Luke List all close by on 8 under.
14.52pm
A dropped shot on the 13th sees Seamus drop from the top of the leaderboard into a tie for fourth.
His first shot on the 13th left him at the edge of the fairway, just a hairs breath into the first cut on the left side.
His approach to the green put him beyond the pin and into the rough. Chipping up to the putting surface, his shot didn't travel far enough leaving him with work to do to save for par. Chipped beyond the hole with his fourth, but putted for a five.
First shot dropped today.
15.17pm
Keeping it simple at the par 3 14th, Seamus landed it in the middle of the green from the tee box. Nine feet from the hole, his put falls right and short of the pin, the third shot does the job and earns him a par.
The dropped shot on 13th drops him to a share of fifth with Marc Hubbard and Brian Stuard.
Seamus is tied for second with Luke List, Ryan Armour, Adam Schenk and Will Gremmer
