Communions and Confirmations off the cards says Tánaiste

Communions and Confirmations that were due to take place from the 5th of July will not go ahead.
That's according to the Tánaiste Leo Varadkar who was questioned on whether the sacraments would be permitted to take place at today's government briefing.
Other events such as weddings and sporting events will go ahead under the governments plans - with the number of people at weddings to increase from 25 to 50 on July 5th - and the number of fans at outdoor sporting events to increase from 200 to 500.

Earlier this month, dates were rearranged in the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore after parents were told they could only take place from July 5th.
However today's comment from the Tánaiste who stated 'they're off, unfortunately', will mean parents in the county will once again have to rearrange plans.
