Former Manchester United captains Roy Keane and Eric Cantona have become the latest players to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
Cork native Keane made 366 Premier League appearance across a hugely successful 12-and-a-half years.
Manchester United signed Keane from Nottingham Forest for £3.75 million, then a British transfer record, in 1993, and he went on to win seven league titles.
The former Ireland captain scored 39 Premier League goals and made 33 assists from midfield.
He was seen as the key man in midfield for Sir Alex Ferguson's hugely successful United sides right up until his departure in 2005, following a falling out with the manager.
Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry were announced as the first two inductees on April 26th and Keane and Cantona are the first of six players to be announced for the hall of fame following a fans' vote from a 23-man shortlist.
The hall of fame will recognise players who have been successful on the pitch and made a significant contribution to the Premier League since the division was created in 1992.
