The GAA has confirmed that the Allianz Hurling Leagues will begin on the first weekend in May.
Waterford will play Limerick Cork Galway Tipperary & Westmeath in 1A of the hurling league
The football leagues commence a week later.
The Deise footballers will play Wexford & Carlow in Division 4
The Hurling Championship will be based on a provincial knockout basis with qualifiers.
While its been confirmed that this year’s Football Championship will once again be a straight knockout, with no qualifiers and the Tailteann Cup on hold for a year.
