Waterford Leaving Cert students delighted with exam clarity

Waterford Leaving Cert students delighted with exam clarity

Are you a Leaving Cert student and if so, how you do you feel about the plans for this year?!

On this morning's Deise Today, Damien spoke to Waterford Leaving Cert students Emily Power and Tammy Whelan...both of whom are happy with what's proposed and the fact that there is, finally, some clarity for students.

It has been confirmed that the class of 2021 is to have a choice between predicted grades and traditional exams.

Emily, who is a sixth-year student at St Declan's Community College in Kilmacthomas, told the show that she was going to sit some exams and take predicted grades in others.

Tammy, who is a student at St. Augustine's College in Dungarvan and is also a Waterford representative on the Irish Second Level Students Union, said she was "absolutely delighted" there was clarity now on both the Junior and Leaving Certs.
