Anyone who grew up in Waterford is bound to know the voice of Julian Walton, who provided WLR with the fantastic On this Day slot for many years. Julian is a hugely respected historian, and in recent years has given many talks and lectures from his base at the Dunhill Multi-Education Centre. Julian can talk at ease about any period in our past, and has a unique way of weaving a story.
On the occasion of his 80th birthday, we were delighted to be joined by Julian on The Big Breakfast Blaa, where he spoke about how his love of history started, as well as discussing his favourite time in Waterford's history. We also played back on On this Day from Julian's birthday, February 9th.
