Phil Heenan from Poleberry in Waterford was the first resident at the Waterford Residential Care Centre to receive the Covid-19 Vaccine.
Teams from the HSE/South East Community Healthcare have been travelling all over Waterford City and County since last week.
Today it was the turn of the Waterford Residential Care Centre.
The 100-bed unit has been operational since April of last year and replaces St Patrick's Hospital and St Aidan's Ward in St Otterans.
Resident Phil Heenan received the jab from Lenora Fitzgerald today.
