All Star defenders Lorraine Bray and Tadhg De Búrca are the joint winners of the October WLR Granville Hotel GAA Award.
De Búrca was man of the match in Waterford's Munster semi-final win over Cork at Semple Stadium.
The Clashmore Kinsalebeg centre back returned to the heart of the Waterford defence after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury at the end of 2019.
Unfortunately the 26 year old saw the injury return in the All-Ireland final against Limerick, when he went down in the first half to be replaced by Iarlaith Daly.
Tadhg says it's been a mixed bag of a year for him:
"Started off well, came back from the cruciate, was playing ok and obviously we got a good run with Waterford got back into the final, but we were poor on the day and didn't get the result we wanted. Things are especially bad for me I did the cruciate again."
The defender is facing surgery again in the New Year.
'Attack the New Year'
Lorraine Bray was at her brilliant best as Waterford reached the quarter finals of the All Ireland camogie championship for the third year in a row.
The Cappoquin wing back was on the scoresheet against Kilkenny and Westmeath. She said she had more freedom this year to move forward, as she didn't have as much man-marking jobs; "I was lucky to be on the end of some brilliant passes from the girls and was able to pop them over".
Waterford Camogie will be under new management next year. Lorraine says she's looking forward to attacking the New Year:
"There's definitely a positive vibe, we're looking forward to 2021. We will be under new management again, we were delighted with the lads that were there, but we'll have fresh faces coming in and we'll hope for the best and attack the new year".
