A factory in Waterford City has confirmed that a number of staff members have tested positive for Covid-19 over the past few days.
In a statement issued to WLR News Cartamundi Ireland says those who are affected have 'mild or no symptoms', and are 'recovering well at home'.
The company did not specify the number of confirmed cases at the factory but say they are working with the HSE to facilitate the testing of staff and determine the source of the infections.
They say all proper health and safety protocols are being followed, including the separation of shifts and departments, the mandatory wearing of PPE, temperature checking, and regular deep cleaning of workstations.
Cartmundi Ireland said: "The company has been in communication with all employees and is providing support as needed. It wishes those affected a speedy recovery."
