Two Waterford players in Kenny's squad to face Slovakia

Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny, has named his squad this afternoon ahead of the European Championships playoff with Slovakia, and the Nations League games with Finland and Wales.

Derrick Williams from Tramore and Jayson Molumby of Cappoquin were among the players included in the squad.

Williams is a Former Afc Tramore player, and currently a Blackburn Rovers defender - it's his first call up under Stephen Kenny.

Midfielder Molumby - formerly of Railway AFC - is currently with Brighton, but on loan to Millwall - he made his first senior start in the recent defeat to Finland at home.

The squad will assemble in Dublin on Sunday and train at the FAI’s National Training Centre in Abbotstown before flying to Slovakia on Tuesday.

The play-off clash in Bratislava takes place on Thursday, October 8th.

Midfielders: Conor Hourihane (Aston Villa), James McCarthy (Crystal Palace), Harry Arter (Nottingham Forest), Jeff Hendrick (Newcastle United), Alan Browne (Preston North End), Jayson Molumby (Brighton & Hove Albion), Jack Byrne (Shamrock Rovers), Robbie Brady (Burnley).
