Clashmore are Western Intermediate Hurling Champions for the first time after a thrilling 4-15 to 3-15 victory over fourteen man Ballysaggart at Fraher Field this afternoon.

Brian Ramsey proved the match-winner for Michael Kelleher's side with an injury time goal.

Ballysaggart came from eight points down in the second half to edge a point ahead before centre back Kieran Bennett was sent off on a straight red card.

Substitute Sean Fleming levelled the contest before Ramsey rifled home a dramatic winner.

Ramsey and John Prendergast fired two goals apiece while Shane Bennett, Stephen Bennett and Ronan Walsh raised green flags for Ballysaggart.

Ballinameela claim the Western Junior A Hurling title.

Meanwhile Ballinameela survived a late rally from Colligan to capture the Western junior hurling title in the curtain raiser at Fraher Field.

Brendan Phelan scored two first half goals and Brian Phelan netted a third as Ballinmeela enjoyed a thirteen point lead with eleven minutes remaining.

Colligan staged a late fightback with goals from John Wall and Ian Fraher but it wasn't enough as Ballinameela advance to next Sunday's county final against Tramore.

It finished Ballinameela 3-15 Colligan 2-15.
