Gardaí and emergency services in Waterford are currently at the scene of an incident in the vicinity of Carroll’s Cross on the N25.
The incident occurred around 5pm this evening when it is believed a lorry caught fire. The road is impassible and still closed as a result.
Diversions are currently in operation before Carroll’s Cross and the Kilmeaden Roundabout.
It is not believed that there are any injuries at this time.
A statement from the Gardaí reads:
“Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a vehicle fire on the N25, Co. Waterford, this evening, 30th November 2021. The road is currently closed whilst fire services attend the scene with diversions in operation before Carrolls Cross and the Kilmeadan roundabout. No further information is available at this time.”
Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible and expect delays.
