A one-way system will commence at Railway Square and Manor Street in Waterford City from Friday
All outbound traffic on Manor Street will be diverted onto Railway Square and the Poleberry Link Road.
Meanwhile traffic management will be in place at the Bath Street, Manor Street, College Street, junction from 10:00am on Thursday and through out tonight to facilitate the installation of new traffic signals.
Waterford Sinn Fein Councillor John Hearne says the changes and refurbishments to roads in the City will be worth it in the long term:
"There's 16 streets at the moment dug up...they want to get it done in the one go and get it finished with rather than have one street every year dug up...so there's a big push now to get it done. We're hoping people will bear with us for the moment."
